Deprecated: Function WC_Product::get_dimensions was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 3.0! By default, get_dimensions has an argument set to true so that HTML is returned. This is to support the legacy version of the method. To get HTML dimensions, instead use wc_format_dimensions() function. Pass false to this method to return an array of dimensions. This will be the new default behavior in future versions. in /var/www/vhosts/galloire.com/httpdocs/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114

TÚNICA, 2022

Details

  • Description: Túnica is a generative digital fabric created with the names of those who were born and died inthe Community of Madrid between 2020 and 2021. The names are embossed on silver and goldstripes that intertwine: the weft for the births and the warp for the deceased. Túnica, a tribute toCovid victims, is inspired by the funerary gauzes of pre-Columbian cultures. Túnica belongs to the Pixelweaver series, which draws on textiles as a metaphor for the socialfabric created, and sometimes destroyed, by the news. These artworks pay tribute to the closerelationship between information technology and textiles, beginning with the jacquard’s loomin the early nineteenth century, considered by many historians to be the first computer. For thisnew series, Studio Daniel Canogar has developed a virtual loom based on craft techniques. Thisalgorithmic tool enables the creation of a wide range of patterns from different sources or “woolballs”.
